Covid 19 Update - 23rd September 2020
Dear Friends and Students,
Glenys and myself are both well and keeping fit. We are maintaining our yoga practice.
We jog down to the seafront every other day. Glenys attends her gym and I run along the promenade. We also practice our archery a couple of times a week so keeping busy.
We are selling a kit all of which has been used at the studio for £70. This would enable you to attend classes, taking your own props. To have a home practice and to participate in Zoom lessons should you wish. Note. You can buy these props new online for around £150.
Love Alan and Glenys
Yoga-is provide regular yoga classes in schools in the local area. Here is what the schools say about us.
Alain Bain from Yoga-Is has been teaching yoga lessons to our Pre-Prep children (age 3 - 7 yrs) at Northbourne Park School.
The children have really enjoyed their sessions with Alan who is a very experienced and engaging teacher.
Alan Bain from Yoga-is has been providing weekly Yoga classes at St. Lawrence College for senior school pupils since September 2013.
This activity is very popular with students who enjoy Alan's enthusiasm and encouragement. Alan is a dedicated and experienced yoga teacher and we consider ourselves fortunate to be able to use his expertise.
Alan Bain is a Director of Yoga-is and works with Bradstow School, Broadstairs every week and has done for almost two years. This highly successful project has supported our students to achieve substantial experiences in yoga which are specific to their individual needs and competencies.
Alan has adapted his techniques to support autistic and special needs students. He delivers high quality yoga sessions in which all students are able to participate. Students learn, not only yoga postures but how to be still and to relax. Alan also gives regular feedback to class teachers and has supported us in assessing our students and working on individual targets.
All of our students enjoy Alan's sessions.
